Organising a special event and want us to come to you? Bridal parties, birthdays, crafternoons, work dos, anything goes! Our mobile workshops are perfect if you're in Auckland, have a group of 6 or more, and wanting to add a jewellery making experience to your event. Of course, you are welcome to host your event at our studio too! Just let us know in the comments when you book. Celebrate with friends and/or family by making pendants or charms from wax, which will then be cast for you in sterling silver! You'll use a soft moldable wax to sculpt a pendant of your own design using the various tools provided. The wax captures detailed textures so you can use almost anything to create patterns or textures. Feel free to bring along any objects from home that you might like to press into the wax to make an impression (think shells, lace, etc.). You can even use your fingerprints! Your wax model will be cast in sterling silver after the class and finished/polished for you. What's included: The wax, tools, and finishing of your makes. What's not included: The casting and metal cost and sterling silver chain (available for $25). Your finished model will be weighed at the end of class to determine the casting cost in silver (approx $4/gram + $5 casting fee). A small pendant weighs around 5 grams. Casting in gold is possible. Discuss this with us on the day. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the pendant to be ready for pickup or delivery. Pick up location is Totara Vale on the North Shore. Courier is available for an additional fee. All pendants must be picked up/delivered together.
